Curriculum Developer

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine the viability of e-Learning as an instructional approach to meet the specified learning objectives and outcomes, and provide advice and recommendations on the applicability of e-Learning to an L&D Programme
  • Identify, adapt, and develop learning outcomes to e-Learning modules and courses
  • Conceptualise and design the e-Learning lesson based on the principles of effective online learning approach. This would include, amongst other things, unpacking learning content, content flow, sequencing and pacing, learner’s interactivity with the content, content aesthetic and design, assessing learning process, and ascertaining learner’s learning
  • Produce a storyboard and conduct management briefing for departmental approval prior to production
  • Brief the online courseware production team and oversee the production of the e-Learning module
  • Test, troubleshoot, and refine the e-Learning module prior to going live
  • Monitor, gather learner’s feedback, conduct periodic review, and analyse the data for reporting to management
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements to the e-Learning modules

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning techniques, best practices in training design and delivery, blended learning methodologies, trends in education technology (EdTech) and industry best practices
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
  • Accomplished presentation skills, including development and delivery
  • Ability to prioritise, schedule, and meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is a must
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
  • Knowledge of e-Learning and or mobile learning is an advantage

Educational Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in training and development, adult education, instructional design, or other related fields
